Church Fair – Saturday 11th June

It’s been some years since we have been able to hold a church Summer Fair and it’s exciting for many reasons not least because as we recently discovered at the Family Food Club day, some little ones had never seen a bouncy castle before!

So, dig out your best summer attire, sun-tan lotion (and optimism) and
get ready for the 11th June! To make our fair a success we will need volunteers to help run stalls, please look out for the sign-up sheet in the porch of St John’s church soon. There will also be a box at the back of St Johns for any donations of boxes of chocolates so that we can run a chocolate tombola. It would be great if you could donate any prizes for a raffle (it could be an item, an experience of some sort or a skill) and calling all bakers (or shoppers) would you be able to bring a cake on the day for the cake sale?

This event will help us all get together and have fun as a community, celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (albeit one week late) and also raise some much-needed funds for the church (especially in light of the expensive replacement floorboard bill we are facing).

We really hope you can help-out in some way and look forward to seeing you there!
