Walking the Line for Hope For Justice

On the 3rd, 4th and 5th October (Friday to Sunday) Act for Justice Hounslow ‘Walked the Line’, walking 20 miles following closely to the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to Piccadilly Circus to fundraise and raise awareness about human trafficking and slavery in the UK. Hope for Justice is an anti-human trafficking organisation rescuing and assisting victims of modern-day slavery. They support the prosecution of traffickers and campaign to protect victims.

On the Saturday, members of Hounslow churches walked the route from Hounslow West to Acton which was 9.5 miles. Two weeks before, we had made a banner at our youth group, and proudly paraded it for the photographer from the local newspaper. At Osterley tube station the local MP came to support us, and St Mary’s church, Osterley provided biscuits and bananas. Despite torrential rain on part of the route, it did not seem too far as there were lots of people to talk to.
